The reigning African queens will commence training for the African Women’s Championship clash with the Scorpions

Evelyn Nwabuoku will lead Nigeria women senior national team against Gambia in June.

The Super Falcons will be hoping to reach the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations billed for Ghana, but they must negotiate their way past the Scorpions in the qualifying fixture.

And to make qualification easy, coach Thomas Dennerby has invited 26 players for the clash against the west African nation.

According to a media release by the NFF, camp will open at the Serob Legacy Hotel on Thursday with the first phase of training holding between May 10-15, 2018, with the second phase taking place from May 17 – 22.

The third and fourth phase will be for players destined for the trip to Banjul. Nigeria hosts the return leg on Monday June 11, 2018.

Victory over Gambia will see Nigeria qualify for the championship billed for Ghana from  17 November to 1 December 2018.
