After Tom Ogweno's exit from Gor Mahia, many people expected coach Ze Maria to appoint one of his own.

However, it was former coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno, who was selected to help the Brazilian tactician. Deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala has revealed to Goal the reason why they opted to bring back the former player saying he was the man to help the club move forward.

"Zico' was appointed to compliment Ze Maria; remember he had been the head coach and he knows the club way too well. Bringing him on board meant we have two experienced coaches, who will help the team meet its objectives. This season we are aiming at reclaiming the league and moving to the next level."

K'Ogalo have started the season well recording two victories in a row and will face clawless Western Stima this weekend. They have beaten Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo Kericho.
