Mambush Mudau shared his thoughts with Goal following Sundowns' 6-0 drubbing of the Buccaneers on Saturday

Mamelodi Sundowns legend Daniel Mudau was full of praise for his former side's exploits against Orlando Pirates on the weekend.

Sundowns humiliated their Johannesburg opponents 6-0 in what was an enthralling encounter.

The Masandawana all-time leading goalscorer believes that the Tshwane giants showed hunger and commitment on the day.

“Coach Pitso’s plan worked for him,” Mudau told Goal.

“You saw Sundowns players - when they entered the field you could see the commitment on their face and the will to win.”

“It was not a surprise for Sundowns players to gel with the system coach Pitso assigned to them,” Mudau said.

“You saw Percy Tau, Anthony Laffor and Khama Billiat the way they played. When Themba (Zwane) came in you could see it was working for him.”

“This was one of the games which Pitso planned very well for,” he added.

Asked if anyone can stop Sundowns, Mudau said they will need to take each game as it comes without worrying about who could beat them.

“Well, it’s not a matter of who will stop Mamelodi Sundowns,” Mudau added.

“Sundowns take each and every game as it comes. We don’t focus on who is going to stop us or who we are going to beat, but we respect all the teams that participate in the league,” he continued.

“We created something our players must remember and when they take to the field, they must win for our supporters. Taking each and every game as it comes. The players are growing in confidence and the spirit of the players is high and we will make sure it continues,” Mudau concluded.
