A last gasp penalty by Ezekiel Odera handed AFC Leopards their fourth straight win in the Kenyan Premier League after an inconsistent start.
Marvin Nabwire scored first for the twelve time league champions, but Moses Mudavadi made things even.
With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Edmond Mauda handled the ball in the danger zone leaving the referee with no option but point to the penalty spot.
Ezekiel Odera then stood to convert from the spot and hand Ingwe and coach Dennis Kitambi their fourth straight win and a second spot in the league table.
Homeboyz coach Mike Mururi was furious with the decision by the official, feeling it was unwarranted. “Officiating was extremely poor, AFC Leopards was favoured and it is not right. They, (Leopards), are not going anywhere with this kind of decisions.
“It was not a penalty, I wonder why the referee gave it, it is disappointing and hurting as well,” Mururi told Goal.
Ingwe are joint top in the standings with sixteen points, having played a match more than bitter rivals Gor Mahia.
