Man Utd chase £10m Norwich defender


Manchester United monitoring Norwich centre-back Ben Godfrey as his strong performances in the Championship draw him Premier League interest, according to the Sun.

The 21-year-old Godfrey, rated at £10 million ($13m), was watched by Red Devils scouts last week, and they came away impressed as he salvaged three points for Norwich with a goal against Rotherham.

Though United were expected to put their hunt for a defender on hold as they chase Jadon Sancho, it looks as though the club are evaluating their defensive options.

Inter chasing Rakitic and Bergwijn


Inter are still hoping to land Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic and PSV winger Steven Bergwijn, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Much will depend on Rakitic's contract talks, but Inter hope the arrival of Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona this summer, along with the possible acquisition of Adrien Rabiot could force the Croatia star out.

Inter remain on the trail of the €40 million (£34m/$45m) Bergwijn, who is also drawing interest of local rivals AC Milan.

Man City to offer €100m for Skriniar


Manchester City are prepared to offer €100 million (£85/$113m) for Inter defender Milan Skriniar, according to AS (via Calciomercato).

Local rivals Manchester United made an approach for Skriniar last summer, only for the offer to be rejected, but City are set to make a fresh approach.

They may also face competition from Real Madrid, who look ready to move on from defender Raphael Varane. 


Benfica looking to fend off suitors for Felix


Benfica are looking to increase star teenager Joao Felix's release clause in order to ward off interest from the likes of Real Madrid, according to AS.

His current release clause is set at €120 million (£103m/$136m), but the club are seeking to bring it up to €200m, which could scare off Madrid.

Madrid president Florentino Perez wants Felix but would be hesitant to pay such a large fee for a player who has not proven a great deal at the top level.

Bournemouth set Ake price


Bournemouth have placed a €40 million (£34m/$45m) on Nathan Ake as Napoli are interested in the defender according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via

Napoli could be set to lose centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to either Manchester United or Real Madrid this summer and the Serie A side see Ake as a replacement.

Man Utd's Bale pursuit comes down to director of football


Manchester United's summer pursuit of the likes of Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann could come down to who is appointed director of football, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The club have been interested in bringing in someone for the position, but if a suitable candidate is not found, executive vice chairman Ed Woodward could take up the role.

Should Woodward do so, it is likely he would pursue big name players, such as previous targets Bale and Griezmann, this summer. 

Newcastle face stiff competition to sign Soumare


Newcastle tried and failed to sign Boubakary Soumare from Lille in January, according to Le10 Sport.

The Magpies had a bid turned down for the 20-year-old, but the club are still interested in the player ahead of a potential move this summer.

Howver, they face stiff competition to land the midfielder with The Daily Star reporting that Tottenham are also interested in signing him.

Ajax eyeing bids for two Spurs defenders


Ajax are looking into the possibility of signing Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld this summer, as reported by Metro.

The pair both had stints in the club's youth set-up before leaving and developing into two of Europe's highest-rated defenders over recent years.

Now, Ajax are reportedly looking into bringing back the Spurs duo as they look to plan beyond a potential Matthijs de Ligt this summer.

Lille striker Leao wanted by Everton


Everton are interested in signing Lille striker Rafael Leao, according the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old only joined the Ligue 1 club in the summer from Sporting Lisbon, but he could be set to be on the mvoe again.

Manchester City are also said to have tracked the forward in the past, while he's also previously been likened to Kylian Mbappe.

De Boer reveals he wasn't allowed to sell players at Inter


Frank de Boer claims he wasn't given full control of transfer at Inter Milan during his reign.

The 48-year-old managed the Italian club for four months in 2016, and has now revealed his managerial reign was restricted.

"I was dealing with a rotten group but wasn’t allowed to throw out certain players," he told AD.

"I perhaps should’ve pushed a bit harder, because if you want to create change, you have to get a lot done right away."

Barcelona keen to sign De Ligt


Barcelona are planning a meeting with the representatives of Matthijs de Ligt next week.

That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Catalan club have been considering a potential move for the defender for "many months".

Despite being just 19 years old, De Ligt is rated as one of the best defenders in the world after a string of impressive performances for Ajax.

Arsenal looking to be busy in the coming transfer window


Arsenal are prioritising a new left-back, a wide attacker and a replacement for Aaron Ramsey this summer, according to Football.London.

The Gunners are set to lose Ramsey in the coming months to Juventus, and the club are looking to replace him immediately with a new midfielder.

The report claims Unai Emery is looking at PSG's Christoper Nkunku and Rennes' Ismaila Sarr as likely recruits.

Benfica happy clubs are interested in Felix


Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira has welcomed the interest surrounding hot prospect Joao Felix. 

"I am happy that all of Europe is talking about Benfica's talents," Vieira told Tuttosport.

"Joao Felix the next Ronaldo? There is only one sure thing: Felix is one of the best talents produced by Portuguese footballer since Ronaldo. 

"Juventus' and Real Madrid's interest in him? Ask them."

Cagliari confirm Chelsea's Barella interest


Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has confirmed he has had discussions with the likes of Chelsea and Inter Milan regarding a transfer for Nicolo Barella.

“I cannot deny that there was concrete interest from Napoli in January," Giulini told Corriere dello Sport.

"Maurizio Sarri also wanted him at Chelsea. As for Inter, that was just a chat, nothing more.”

Barella has played 29 times for Cagliari season, scoring one goal and assisting one other.

Varane heading for Real exit?


Raphael Varane is reportedly considering a shock departure from Real Madrid, according to the Mirror.

The centre-back is supposedly eager to find a new challenge, and Zinedine Zidane is said to have been made aware of the player's feelings.

Manchester United, who failed to sign Varane as a teenager in 2011, could attempt to land their man this time around, although the Frenchman will still have three years on his contract in the summer. 


Monaco to make Martins deal permanent


Monaco are set to offer €35m (£30m/$40m) to seal the permanent transfer of Gelson Martins from Atletico MadridGoal understands.

However, there are complications regarding the nature of Martins' free transfer to the La Liga side, having cancelled his contract at Sporting following the well-publicised fan fracas at the Liga NOS side's training ground.

Sporting are demanding a €20m (£17m/$23m) compensation fee, and if talks stall between the two, Atletico may offer Luciano Vietto to the Portuguese club in order to settle the issue.

Pogba's agent pushing for Man Utd exit


The France star is keen on a switch to the Bernabeu

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola reportedly wants to engineer a route out of Manchester United in the summer, according to Marca.

The Frenchman is thought to be keen on a move to Real Madrid to work with Zinedine Zidane and Los Blancos see him as a potential successor to Luka Modric.

However, the Red Devils hierarchy are not keen to let their record signing leave, and the World Cup winner has two years left on his current deal with an option for a further year.

£86m Griezmann could replace Neymar or Mbappe


With Los Blancos eyeing up their prized assets, the Ligue 1 side see the France star as the perfect replacement

Paris Saint-Germain will attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid if they lose either Neymar or Mbappe to Real Madrid in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Their two star forwards have been strongly linked with the Bernabeu and PSG see £86m-rated (€100m/$113m) Griezmann as the perfect replacement should either player depart.

Griezmann turned down Barcelona last summer, but is reportedly considering his future again after a disappointing season that is unlikely to end in silverware.


Everton to make Trippier bid


Everton are keen on Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier and are lining up a bid for him in the summer, according to The Sun.

Tottenham are reportedly considering offloading both the England defender and Serge Aurier as they look to upgrade in that position, and the Toffees are putting together a £20m (€23m/$26m) offer.

Trippier has struggled for form since impressing with his set-pieces in Russia in the summer, and has largely failed to fill the void left by Kyle Walker's departure to Manchester City

Liverpool monitoring Hudson-Odoi


Liverpool are monitoring Hudson-Odoi's situation at Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

The teenage winger nearly moved Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, but the deal broke down as a desperate Chelsea fought to keep him.

And while the Blues would be even less keen to do business with a Premier League rival, the 18-year-old will have just one year left on his contract at the end of the season. 

Additioanlly, Borussia Dortmund have also joined the race, and are keen to repeat their deal for Jadon Sancho, who is a friend of Hudson-Odoi's.

Juventus to watch Dias and Felix


Juventus will reportedly scout Benfica duo Ruben Dias and Joao Felix and weigh up potential moves for the pair, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dias, a 21-year-old central defender, and Felix, a 19-year-old forward, are two of the Portuguese outfit's most prized assets. The former is a fixture in the first team, having missed just one league game due to suspension, while the latter is a prodigious talent, notching 10 goals and five assists from just 18 appearances this season.

And the Serie A giants reportedly see the pair as potential successors to Giorgio Chiellini and Cristiano Ronaldo, respectively, although Mathijs de Ligt is the club's first choice at centre-back over Dias.

Bordeaux want Henriksen


Bordeaux are interested in signing Markus Henriksen from Hull City, according to Foot Mercato.

The Ligue 1 outfit added several promising youngsters in January, including 18-year-old pair Yacine Adli from Paris Saint-Germain and Josh Maja from Sunderland.

However, they wish to bolster the squad with a little more experience and will come back for the Norway midfielder, 26, in the summer after seeing their advances knocked back in the winter window, and the player himself seems keen to make the switch.

Milan consider Deulofeu reunion


AC Milan are considering a bid for Watford's Gerard Deulofeu, according to Calciomercato.

The Rossoneri had the Spaniard on loan from Everton during the second half of the 2016-17 season, and he scored four goals and notched three assists in 18 appearances for them, before being sold back to boyhood club Barcelona.

And Deulofeu has impressed for Watford this season, managing seven goals and five assists in 23 Premier League games, but the Hornets have slapped a €30m (£26m/$34m) price tag on the forward.


Transfer tug-of-war over Shankland


Prolific Ayr United striker Lawrence Shankland will have no shortage of suitors when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.

The 23-year-old has hit 21 goals and recorded five assists in the Scottish Championship this season, and has attracted a great deal of attention from clubs in both Scotland and England.

Swansea City are leading the race at present, hoping for him to replace Wilfried Bony, but Celtic and Rangers are also very keen on the player, while reports of interest have also emerged from Hull City and Sunderland. 

Nacho & Vallejo facing Real Madrid exits


The signing of Eder Militao from Porto has cast doubt over the defenders' futures at Real Madrid, according to AS.

The 21-year-old Brazilian is the most expensive defender in Real's history, and is expected to be third-choice centre-back next season behind first-choice pairing Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, pushing both other players down the pecking order. 

Nacho Fernandez, 29, would suffer a dramatic loss of minutes, having only played in half of Los Blancos' La Liga games this season, while Jesus Vallejo, 22, has played just two minutes of football this season and would have to either be loaned out or sold with a buy-back clause inserted into the deal. 

Bielsa interested in Nandez


Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly interested in siging Nahitan Nandez from Boca Juniors in the summer, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 23-year-old central midfielder was a regular fixture for Uruguay as they reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Russia, and would be a real coup for the Yorkshire club. 

However, failure to secure promotion to the Premier League would significantly hamper their chances of pulling off the deal, with Serie A sides Cagliari, Sampdoria and Fiorentina all watching the player closely.


Tottenham keen on Soumare


Tottenham are reportedly keen on the signature of Lille's highly-rated Boubakary Soumare, according to Foot Mercato.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder, a product of Paris Saint-Germain's academy, has been courted by a clutch of top clubs in the last couple of seasons, including Juventus, Arsenal and Monaco, but turned down interest from all three to continue his development with the Ligue 1 side.

Spurs face a fight to convince the player that his career would be best served by joining them, and will also reportedly have to contend with Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Roma for his signature even if he does choose to leave.

Inter hoping to hijack Everton's Gomes deal


Internazionale are hoping to hijack Everton's attempts to secure on-loan Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes permanently, according to Sport.

Everton have been impressed with the Portuguese since his arrival in the summer and want to finalise a permanent transfer as soon as possible, reportedly offering around €25m (£21m/$28m) to Barcelona for his services.

However, Inter are hoping to compete for the central midfielder's signature, but negotiations will have to wait until the summer for them, as their transfer budget will largely depend on whether or not they secure Champions League football next season.

Cruz Azul have locked up Panamanian youngster Angel Orelien as a summer signing, according to MedioTiempo.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has hinted he could look to leave the Emirates Stadium in the future.

The 26-year-old told Swiss newspaper Tagblatt that he does not need to end his career in north London. 

Xhaka was signed from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016 for £35 million ($46m).

Man Utd can sign £50m Kroos in summer


The midfielder reportedly wants to leave La Liga

Manchester United can sign Toni Kroos for £50 million ($66m) from Real Madrid this summer, according to The Sun.

Kroos, whose contract is up in 2022, is reportedly keen to leave the Spanish capital in order to reignite his career elsewhere. 

The midfielder remains a long-term target after United tried to sign him from Bayern Munich in 2013 but Real hijacked the deal to take him to Santiago Bernabeu in 2014. 

Man Utd meet with Sancho representatives


The teenager is rated at £70 million

Manchester United have met with Jadon Sancho's representatives about a potential move to Old Trafford, claims The Sun.

The Red Devils face a battle with Paris Saint-Germain to acquire the Borussia Dortmund winger's services, and he is rated at £70 million ($92m).

Sancho was part of Manchester City's youth academy but moved to the Bundesliga for £8 million ($11m) in 2017.

Barcelona open to selling Coutinho


Barcelona are open to letting Philippe Coutinho leave this summer, claim Marca.

The Brazilian was signed in January 2018 from Liverpool for €120 million (£103m/$136m) but has struggled to live up to that price tag. 

Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with moves for the former Inter player.

Juventus consider Manolas move


Serie A champions Juventus are considering a move for Roma defender Kostas Manolas this summer, according to CalcioMercato.

The centre-back apparently wants to leave the Italian capital and is being monitored by Manchester United and Chelsea as well.

Juve have a strong relationship with Manolas' agent, Mino Raiola, but Roma apparently do not want to let their star defender go cheaply.
