Chelsea set sights on Ajax's Neres


Ajax striker David Neres' impressive showings have made him the target of Chelsea, according to Calciomercarto.

The Brazilian joined the Dutch outfit from Sao Paulo last year and has impressed up front for Erik ten Hag's side.

The Blues are thought to not be the only side interested in pursuing Neres but may be the most high-profile of his suitors.

Cahill admits January Chelsea exit likely


Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has admitted he may depart the club in January as he remains sidelined under new boss Maurizio Sarri.

The 32-year-old is yet to start a game this season for the Blues, following a late return from England duty at the World Cup.

Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Andreas Christensen have impressed at centre-back so far this season, leaving Cahill's future at Stamford Bridge uncertain.

Hamsik poised for Napoli exit


Marek Hamsik could leave Napoli as early as January following frustration over his position in the side under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Slovakia veteran only extended his stay with the Serie A side ahead of this season.

But he is reportedly unhappy with his role in the team following a mixed start to the season and may seek a move, potentially to China, come the new year.

Besiktas tracking Chelsea striker Giroud


Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud is a top target for Besiktas if the France international departs Stamford Bridge, according to Fanatik.

The 31-year-old joined the Blues from rivals Arsenal on an 18-month-deal in Januay.

The striker, who won the World Cup with his country in Russia this year, is expected to leave following the conclusion of this season.

Serie A trio chasing PSG's Silva


Thiago Silva looks set to depart Paris Saint-Germain next June, with a trio of Serie A sides in the lead for the race for the defender, per Le10Sport.

The 33-year-old centre-back is expected to exit the Ligue 1 side following the current season, with Juventus, Roma and Milan thought to be the key sides keen on his services.

Silva, who has won 77 caps for Brazil, joined PSG from the latter in 2012.

No convincing needed for Aguero - Guardiola


Man City star signed new deal through 2021

Pep Guardiola has said that Sergio Aguero needed no further convincing to commit his future to Manchester City after the striker signed a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.

The Argentine has extended his stay until 2021 and his manager has claimed that the forward is fully on-board with the club.

"I didn't convince him, he decided for himself," Guardiola said

Busquets to pen new Barcelona deal


Sergio Busquets is poised to pen fresh terms with Barcelona, according to ESPN.

The World Cup-winning midfielder's current deal is already due to run until 2021, with it possible that clauses could be triggered to take that to 2023.

Barca are, however, prepared to extend the 30-year-old's contract now and bring an end to the rumours suggesting that a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City could be on the cards.

Rafa Benitez has started to piece together plans for the January transfer window at Newcastle but is unware how much money, if any, he will have to spend.

The Spaniard told reporters: “I was talking with the head of recruitment this morning and we have an idea for the next window. Now we just need to see if we have any money.”

Gilardino to retire from playing to focus on management


Alberto Gilardino has successfully acquired his UEFA A and B licenses and as such will put an end to his playing career to focus on being a manager, Gianluca Di Marzio reports. 

The 36-year-old last played for Spezia but is not currently attached to a club and will not attempt to join another side as a player. 

PSG sign Zagre to professional contract


PSG have signed academy member Arthur Zagre to a professional contract, the club announced on Thursday

The 16-year-old has spent the first part of this season with the reserve side after moving up through the ranks quickly over the last three years. 

Ochoa eyes La Liga move


Standard Liege goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has said he would like to return to La Liga.

The Mexico international played for Granada and Malaga during a three-year stay in Spain between 2014 and 2017.

Now in Belgium, the 33-year-old saw a summer move to Napoli fall through due to a lack of a European passport.

Man Utd join race for De Jong


The Dutch midfielder is being pursued by a host of big clubs

Manchester United have joined the race for Ajax star Frenkie de Jong, claims The Sun.

United had scouts at a Nations League match between the Netherlands and France earlier this month, and they came away impressed by the versatile 21-year-old.

De Jong, who is also being chased by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham and others, could be subject of a January bid from Man Utd. 

PSG could sell Thiago Silva in the summer


Paris Saint-Germain will explore the possibility of selling defender Thiago Silva in the summer, reports Le10Sport

The 33-year-old's contract is set to expire in June 2020, and the Ligue 1 side aren't prepared to let him leave for free should the two sides fail to agree an extension. 

With AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Roma all rumoured to be interested, the Brazilian could be sold at seasons's end. 


Villa interested in Collins


Aston Villa are interested in signing free-agent defender James Collins, according to the Daily Mail.

The 35-year-old centre-back has been without a club since the end of last season, when he was released by West Ham.

Collins played for Villa between 2009 and 2012, with the Championship side also exploring the possibility of a return for John Terry. 

Falque nears Torino renewal


Iago Falque is nearing a contract extension with Torino, according to Calciomercato

The ex-Roma and Tottenham man has become a key member of Walter Mazzarri's side, and will extend his deal through 2022. 

Sevilla offered €15 million (£13m/$18m) for the winger in the summer, but Torino rejected the bid. 

Wolves make offer for Gyasi


Wolves have made a £700,000 offer to CSKA Sofia for winger Edwin Gyasi, reports

The Premier League side wants to bring the Ghana international to the Molineux on an initial loan deal in January, with Brighton also interested.

However, CSKA are likely to reject the bid, with the Bulgarian side hoping for at least three times the amount Wolves have offered.
