Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka has confirmed the release of eight players ahead of the new season.
The club, through its portal, indicates the move is meant to restructure the club and those, who have been released will receive their letters as soon as possible.
Those released includes goalkeeper Wycliffe Kasaya, who joined last season from Mathare United. Kevin Kimani, one of the best performers last season, has also left after his contract expired.
Former AFC Leopards midfielder Bernard Mang'oli, who has since joined promoted side KCB, is also among the players released. Timothy Luda, Edmond Kwanya, Reuben Juma and, surprisingly, Juma Aloro complete the list.
