AFC Leopards defender Abdalah Salim has confirmed that he will not be at The Den for next season.

The burly defender took to his social media account to wish the team well, after captaining the side to a 5-4 penalty victory against Ulinzi Stars in the FKF Shield Cup on Saturday.

“Thank you guys for the win today and winning the last game this season, I also do appreciate AFC Leopards as a family and thanks a lot for the chance they gave me for the past. Two seasons I have been with them. I also take this opportunity to wish them best of luck in the near future.”

The move by Salim, who is fondly referred to as ‘Shittu’, comes just a few days after Goal exclusively reported that he was part of the players facing the axe from the Den.

Goal now understand that the defender could be headed to promoted side KCB, who have promised to sign experienced players so as to make a mark in the new season that will kick-off on December 8.
