Keita Balde vows to make Inter Milan fans happy

The 23-year-old winger is back in a familiar territory after completing a season-long loan deal to the San Siro

Inter Milan new signing Keita Balde has pledged to 'give his all to make the fans happy'.

The Senegalese forward returned to the Serie A to team up with Luciano Spalleti's side temporarily just a year after joining Monaco from Lazio

The loan deal is worth €6 million, with €42 million purchase option at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

In his first words at the San Siro Stadium, the 23-year-old revealed his desire to do exploits for the club who finished fourth in the Italian top-flight last season.

"I’m very happy to be here with the Inter family and I’ll give my all to make the fans happy," Balde told club website.

"I’ve come back to Italy with a great desire to play for a huge club. I have experience in this league and I want to do well. The fans are always great, I want them to be happy."

Balde, born in Spain, came through the Barcelona youth academy and will reunite with Inter Milan captain and last season's top scorer Maurizio Icardi whom they both played in La Masia.

In addition, the former Lazio winger is raring to help Spalleti achieve his goals for the club.

"With Mauro, we spent time together at Barcelona. I’ve known him since I was little and I also know the coach, he showed me a lot of support and really wanted me. I’m here for him and for the project," he concluded.

Balde could make his Inter Milan debut when they lock horns against Sassuolo in Sunday's Serie A opener.
