Kariobangi Sharks have signed centre-forward, Musa Ekai from Nakuru Allstars FC.
Ekai penned a ‘long-term contract’ after trying out with the 2017 Kenyan Premier League newbies in the January pre-season.
Of immediate importance to Ekai, is working his way up in Sharks line up, though coach William Muluya has challenged the budding striker to fill in the big shoes left by Masoud Juma.
Masoud scored 17-league goals for Sharks last season before leaving the club for South African Premier League side, Cape Town City FC.
“The coach has challenged me to try and fill Masoud's shoes. I know it's quite a huge task (filling the void left by Masoud) but one but I'm relishing to take in the next six months or a season (to settle), hopefully,” said Ekai during his unveiling.
“I know there are a number of good strikers here and I will have to work even harder to earn a spot in the team. I've played alongside Sanneh (Ebrimma) during training sessions and he's been such an inspiration to me."
Ekai now joined Brian Juma (Liberty Academy), Morgan Oduor Odhiambo (Mathare United) and Fidel Oduor Origa (African Heroes) as the new faces at Sharks this season.
