Bikramjit Singh gave Delhi the lead in the sixth minute of the match but Edu Bedia restored parity. Lallianzuala Chhangte scored the second goal for Delhi Dynamos before Brandon Fernandes and Edu Bedia sealed the match in Goa’s favour.
Speaking on the win, Goa coach Sergio Lobera said, “Either of the teams could have won the game today. It was a very open game where both teams were looking to attack as much as possible and get as many shots at goal, but whenever that happens, it's not particularly good for the coaches.”
He continued, “The result specifies that there were moments in the game that either team was not dominating. In the end, what that does is, it becomes a lucky draw for anyone who scores. I also believe that when both teams are going at each other, for scoring goals, it is in the decisive moment that they are better than the other.”
Spanish midfielder Edu Bedia had a spectacular game as he scored twice including the late winner. But Lobera refused to highlight any individual performances.
He said, “I don't like to speak about individual players, but Edu is a good player. He's not someone new to the team. He's an important player and you've seen him do what he did today. A player always shines when the team is doing well with him.”
