The Serbian manager was not pleased with the referee's decision-making on Saturday evening.

Maharashtra-based outfit FC Pune City sealed full points at the Fatorda Stadium on Saturday evening, thanks to goals from prolific striker Emiliano Alfaro and substitute Jonatan Lucca.

Assessing the result, FC Pune City coach Ranko Popovic expressed his delight with the victory and stated that his side succeeded in keeping control of the game.

‘’The game was open and very interesting with chances on both sides. I am happy because the guys did well and they didn't lose control. There were some terrible mistakes by us but we were lucky in some situations. Till the end, we showed what we wanted to do and how. We had two or three very good chances to kill the game before scoring,’’ he expressed.

The Serbian manager was furious with the decisions of the referee and hinted at unfair officiating in the game. He commented angrily, "If you want to talk about how many fouls they made in the game; in two games we got (players) sent off for nothing. Today what is this, rugby? Who was the referee (Rowan Arumughan) protecting? Are there different rules for Pune City?’’

Further, Popovic slammed the referee’s negligence at FC Goa midfielder Ahmed Jahouh’s challenges on the field. The gaffer believed that the Moroccan deserved to be given his marching orders in the first quarter of the match. ‘’The number 5 (Ahmed Jahouh) had to sent off in 10 or 15 minutes but I am very happy because we behaved as gentlemen. We didn't make any rough fouls. We have to protect ourselves if someone (referee) doesn't have respect for us,’’ he said.
