Hearts of Oak coach Frank Elliott Nuttall has reiterated that his side are aiming at lifting the Ghana FA Cup trophy this season.

The Accra giants have reached the round of 16 after thumping Kotoku Royals 4-0.

“Absolutely, we are taking the cup competition very seriously,” Nuttall told his club's website.

“It wasn’t in my thoughts about how I can change my team to give other players a chance that's why the big players played the game against Royals. That did not even come into my thinking.

“My whole thought was about how can we win the game and get through to the next round of the competition so that was the governing and reasoning behind the team selection,” he added.

Nuttall has used all his strikers throughout the season as he seeks to find the remedy to their lack of goals and says he was impressed with Cosmos Dauda and Kwame Kizito partnership.

“They did well. They did some things well together and they need to make some improvements in other ways but we will speak about that privately. So there is room for improvement.

“It was nice to score goals and get people on the score-sheet. Cosmos got another. Kizito got a goal which was important so that was good for those players to get on the score-sheet,” he added.

Hearts will shift attention to the Ghana Premier League as they host city rivals Liberty Professionals on Sunday in matchday 16.
