Harambee Stars will entertain Burundi at Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Thursday afternoon in a match that coach Paul Put must do everything possible within his means to see that the hosts don't crash out midway through.
Masoud, the reigning Kenyan Premier League top scorer picked a knock in the second match against Libya at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. That injury saw him miss Kenya’s 1-0 win against Tanzania and a draw with Zanzibar, though he could be available for selection if Kenya proceeds to the next round.
“We are ready to show the fans that we want to proceed. We will do everything possible to ensure that we get a positive result,” Put told FKF website.
“The tournament gives me an opportunity to learn more about our local based players, and that is very important going forward,” he added.
Masoud has one goal in the tournament having scored Kenya's opener against Rwanda.
The other semifinal will see defending champions Uganda face off with Zanzibar on Friday, December 15, 2017, in Kisumu.
