Yannick Bolasie has praised his Aston Villa teammates after their 2-0 win over Rotherham United in Tuesday’s English Championship encounter.

The winger came off the bench to seal the victory after Tammy Abraham had grabbed the curtain raiser in the first half - both summer signings scoring on their home debuts.

And the Everton loanee has taken to the social media to laud the ‘great team performance’ from his side while also thanking the fans for their support.

“Great team performance tonight. Happy to assist with a goal. Thanks to the villa fans for your support, onto the next one,” Bolasie tweeted.

The victory has seen them climb to the sixth spot in the league log with 13 points from eight games.

Aston Villa clash with Sheffield Wednesday in their next league game on Saturday.
