K’Ogalo were the better side in the friendly as they scored through new signing Humphrey Mieno, Boniface Omondi and George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo, who grabbed a double.
Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr gave a starting berth to a number of new signings with Charles Momanyi, who joined from Kakamega Homeboyz manning the defence while goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch was also preferred.
Coach Kerr was a delighted man at the final whistle. “It was a good win for my side.
"We dominated the first half and deserved to take a 2-0 lead. The second half was also a good one though we conceded two goals. Overall I was impressed with the team’s performance.”
Just like Gor Mahia, KCCA were using the build up match to prepare for the forthcoming Caf Champions League.
K'Ogalo will host Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea as KCCA will battle CNaPS Sports of Madagascar in the preliminary round.
