Gor Mahia promises to wade through a tough August schedule

Gor Mahia kicked-off the expected long trek in August with a 3-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks on Wednesday

Gor Mahia will stealthily but steadily wade through the rough August storm, assures club CEO Omondi Aduda.

K’Ogalo have nine matches lined up this month including two high profile matches in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Gor Mahia will travel to Algeria to take on USM Alger and a home game against Rayon Sports of Rwanda.

In between, they will have to honour seven Kenyan Premier League fixtures starting with a game on Sunday against Nakumatt.

But despite the congested schedule, Aduda is optimistic that the depth in the squad will help them sail through. “It’s a tough month for us but we shall overcome,” Aduda told Goal.

The good thing is that the league defending champions just requires 15 points to retain the title.

Gor Mahia are top of the table with 55 points, 15 more than second-placed Sofapaka.
