FIFA Rankings: India retain 102nd rank

The Indian national football team have retained their 102nd rank in the latest update of the FIFA Rankings published on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

In the January update of the rankings, the Blue Tigers moved three places up from the December 2017 rankings, where they were 105th. They accumulated a total of 333 rating points.

Indian National team sealed their qualification to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE with a 2-2 draw at home in November and will take on the Kyrgyz Republic their final group game on March 27.

India are ranked 14th in Asia while Iran are the highest ranked AFC member in the world at 34th.

Globally, the top fourteen places have no alterations with current world cup title-holders Germany leading the list. Iceland have moved two places forward into 18th. The best climber this time is Congo who have bettered 8 spots into 88th. Egypt have fallen 13 spots and occupy 43rd rank.
