However, the club could not give details of the contract signed by Kerr. The move comes as a double blow for Gor Mahia, as they prepare to start their campaign in the Caf Champions League, where they will face Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi.
Apart from losing coach Kerr, a source close to the coach, also confirmed to Goal that the coach will invade Gor Mahia for the services of key players, among them defender Philemon Otieno and midfielder Francis Kahata.
“Dylan (Kerr) is likely set to sign a two-year contract before end of this week and what I know he will recommend for a number of signings and this will definitely affect Gor Mahia.
“He is a great admirer of Philemon Otieno and Francis Kahata, so expect the two to make the list of transfer, if he pens a deal in South Africa.”
Kerr’s first game will be at home to second-placed and title challengers Bidvest Wits on December 1.
