Godwin Zaki is concerned over his long wait for his first Enugu Rangers' goal but he is optimistic ending his drought against El Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.
The forward joined Gbenga Ogunbote's men this season from Abia Warriors, where he scored seven goals last season and is yet to register his name in three starts so far.
And Zaki is appealing for understanding and patience from the Flying Antelopes fans over his poor scoring form as he assures to hit the net this weekend.
“I must confess that I am not satisfied with my lack of goals this season," Zaki told media.
"It has been rough for me but I’m grateful to the coaching crew and teammates, who have always encouraged me. As a team we had a poor start but glad things are getting better.
"I'm not frustrated at all but I have great hope that this weekend, there shall be a turnaround for the best for me. I hope to open my goal account for the season.
“I think I know what is wrong with my game. It has been challenging for me since the start of the season but I trust my God to score against El-Kanemi if fielded by my coaches.”
