Enugu Rangers are desperately in search of maximum points when they host MFM FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Thursday, according to midfielder Kelvin Itoya.
With their Sunday's 0-0 stalemate at FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Gbenga Ogunbote's side gained their fourth away draw this term and would be looking to consolidate with a win over the Olukoya Boys.
And the former Rivers United is backing his teammates to follow up a good showing at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium with a victory on their home ground against Fidelis Ilechukwu's side.
"We have a crucial match against MFM and are ready to get maximum points," Itoya told Goal.
"It is definitely not going to be a rollover for us but I think our draw against FC Ifeanyi Ubah will really motivate us to work even harder and go all out to win.
"We have not won any match in our last three league games and that's why we need to embrace the big opportunity and fight to win. We are hoping to finish the first round in a good position.
"We've lost four points at home already this season and are in dire need of a victory to move up the table. We cannot afford another slip at home and must take advantage of this chance."
Itoya and his mates will be hoping a win this mid-week on home turf will move them to third on the Nigerian topflight log.
