Elmina Sharks have signed Yakubu Mohammed from Asante Kotoko on loan until the end of the season, both clubs have confirmed.
The 27-year-old, who won the Ghana Premier League topscorer award in the 2012-13 season while at Ashanti Gold, made only four appearances for the Porcupine Warriors this season, after falling down the pecking order under Paa Kwesi Fabin.
He will now attempt to break into the first team of Sharks who have been incredible with only two defeats in 12 games.

However, Yakubu will have to compete with Felix Addo and Benjamin Tweneboah to win one of the two places in coach Yaw Acheampong's 4-4-2 formation.
"I spoke to the technical team and they admitted that my services will be needed so I opted to come here despite other options," he said.
"I'm ready to work hard and fight for a place in the team. I want to play every week and that requires dedication so I will do my best to get the chance," he added.
Yakubu is likely to make his bow when Sharks welcome Ebusua Dwarfs in matchday 14 on May 30.
