Cliff Nyakeya among quartet called to Emerging Stars squad to face Mauritius

The final U23 AFCON tournament will act as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics

Cliff Nyakeya is among the four players who have been included in the Emerging Stars squad that is set to take on Mauritius in the upcoming Africa U23 Cup of Nations Qualifier.

The Mathare United Midfielder and his AFC Leopards counterpart Marvin Omondi, as well as defenders John Otieno from Kariobangi Sharks) and Samuel Semo pf KCB have been called up to bolster the squad that is set to report for residential training on Monday.

At the same time, Ulinzi Stars defender Harun Mwale has been dropped from the squad. The match will be played on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani with the return leg slated for Sunday, November 18, 2018, in Mauritius.

The aggregate winner will face either of Sudan or Seychelles in the second round. The third round will determine which team graces the Africa U23 Cup of Nations, also in line.

Meanwhile, ticket prices for Wednesday’s qualifier will retail at Sh100 for regular and with VIP section fetching Sh500. The ticket will go on sale on match day at the match venue.
