Arsenal have been urged to look at bringing in Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and Nicolas Pepe, with club legend Ian Wright also advising Unai Emery who to get rid of.

There is the promise of a busy summer at Emirates Stadium.

The club’s board claim that recruitment plans are being drawn up, with funds set to be made available for the strengthening of a side that has reached the Europa League final in 2019.

It remains to be seen how large that kitty is, with the Gunners famed for their frugal approach, but movement in and out of north London is to be expected.

With that in mind, Wright believes Emery should be looking to raid the ranks at a Premier League rival and those in Ligue 1 when the next transfer window swings open.

Quizzed by the Mirror on who his targets would be, the iconic former striker said: "Someone like Ben Chilwell. He is the kind of left-back who is getting better with every game. He's an England international now. Somebody that I'm sure is going to be sought after.

"Then there is Youri Tielemans. He came over from Monaco. He's on loan at Leicester City and he's someone that - well there are loads of teams linked with him - but he's someone that you'd want to have.

"And Nicolas Pepe at Lille. That kind of winger with his intensity, pace and skill. Those are the kind of players that are definitely going to improve any team, if I'm totally honest.

"And they're at the age where they are going to be there for a few years. So that's a dream list if I'm being totally honest."

While there is a need to bolster the ranks at Arsenal, Wright concedes that there is also plenty of deadwood to move out.

It has already been confirmed that a couple of senior stars will be leaving at the end of their respective contracts, but it could be that a number of others are offloaded at the earliest opportunity.

"We know that some players are moving out," added Wright.

"Players like Danny Welbeck, David Ospina, Mohamed Elneny, Carl Jenkinson, Stephan Lichtsteiner. Those kind of players are moving out, if I'm totally honest.

"And if you look at what's going on at Arsenal, for me if there is no future for you and you haven't been playing as regularly as you'd have like, you should be wanting to be moved on anyway."
