Ulinzi’s camp has been invaded by another injury setback after the speedy winger was ruled out of the weekend action with an injury.
Onuonga picked a hamstring injury in the Soldiers home defeat against Sony Sugar and will not be part of coach Dunstsna Nyudo squad set to take on Rangers at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
Onuonga is set to sit out for at least two weeks out as he continues with the recovery process
“Justin is out for a minimum two weeks. He sustained a hamstring injury and that will definitely put him off for some time,” the club Team Doctor John Imboywa told Ulinzistarfc.com.
Onuonga joins Oscar Injika (ankle) who is sidelined for four weeks on the sidelines as well as Eugene Ochieng, who is set to undergo an MRI scan.
Some positive news for Nyaudo, though is the return to action of Cylus Shitote, who has fully recovered from a hamstring injury.
Shitote is back in training but might not be selected for Rangers’ battle that comes too soon.
“Cylus is back but just doing light training as we look to slowly ease him back to action. He is not ready yet but I think he may be available after a week or so,” the doctor added.
