AFC Leopards was held to a barren draw by hosts Zoo Kericho in an entertaining clash played at Kericho Green Stadium on Wednesday.
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw, and Ingwe were favourites following their recent run. But as fate may have it, it was the home team that created chances which were, unfortunately, not taken.
Speaking to Goal after the match, Ingwe coach Rodolfo Zapata admitted changing tactics but the home side was resilient.
“It was not a boring game despite ending in a barren draw, it was an open and entertaining match. We changed tactics severally with an aim of breaking them down but we did not. We had chances but we did not take them, nevertheless, it is a valuable point.”
AFC Leopards have thirty-two points from the 19 matches played so far, fourteen less than leaders Gor Mahia.
