AFC Leopards coach Rodolfo Zapata is keen to bolster squad and key among his top target is highly rated Botswana star Dirang Moloi.

Zapata, who joined Ingwe from Gaborone United is said to have already asked his bosses to consider bringing on board, the former player at South African Premier League side Vasco Da Gama and DR Congo side CS Don Bosco.

According to reports from Botswana, Zapata has already made contact with some of his former players, who are seeking to run away from the financial challenges that Gaborone United are currently facing.

Moloi, who still has a running contract with Gaborone United, is said to be willing to terminate the engagement to force a move to the Kenyan Premier League.

“We are still in talks, he is a good player with a lot of potential and I hope Leopards will manage to bring him on board. He is an asset,” Zapata told The Midweek Sun.

The 32 year-old Moloi started his senior career in 2005 with Notwane FC in Gaborone has eleven caps for the Botswana senior team.

AFC Leopards have so far released two foreign players; Nigerian Henry Uche and Ghanaian midfielder Eric Bekeo, possibly to create a slot for the Botswana ace.
