Emmanuel Adebayor was on target as İstanbul Başakşehir secured a 2-0 victory over Yeni Malatyaspor in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter.

Adebayor gave the visitors the lead with his fourth league goal of the season after he benefitted from an Edin Visca assist in the 22nd minute.

And on the stroke of full time, Mevlut Erdinc drilled the final nail into the hosts’ coffin as Abdullah Avci’s men carted away with the maximum points from the Malatya Arena.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City forward was taken off in the 88th minute in the encounter - his tenth appearance in the league this season.

İstanbul Başakşehir are second in the Turkish topflight log after garnering 23 points from 11 outings and they welcome league leaders Galatasaray to the Fatih Terim Stadium in their next league encounter on October 18.
