DStv Now Big Match Stats Pack: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool

There has been drama involving both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the Uefa Champions League this season, with the two sides managing to overturn deficits to reach the final. Spurs came from a goal down in the first leg to beat Ajax 3-2 in the return leg. Liverpool overturned a 3-0 deficit to beat Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg in the semi-finals.  

Liverpool have failed to score in four of their 12 Uefa Champions League matches this season. Three of the four matches were away from home while the other time was at Anfield Stadium. Tottenham Hotspur have failed to score just once in the competition this season, and that was against Ajax in the first leg of the semi-finals. 

Two of Tottemham Hotspur in Danny Rose and Son Heung-Min are sitting on three yellow cards. Only Hugo Lloris got the red card for Spurs this season. None of Liverpool players has been red-carded this season, but three of their stars in Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Andrew Robertson are on three yellow cards. 

Liverpool and Spurs have met 158 times in the past. Liverpool won 73 games to Spurs' 43 while the other 40 matches ended in draws.

Harry Kane leads the goalscoring charts for the Tottenham Hotspur with five strikes to his name, while Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah are joint-top goalscorers for Liverpool with four goals each in the Uefa Champions League.  

Liverpool have kept five clean sheets in 12 Uefa Champions League matches, while Spurs have kept just four clean sheets in their 12 matches. Of the five clean sheets Liverpool have kept, none came away from home, meaning they are yet to keep one whenever they're playing away from home. 

On average, Tottenham Hotspur have scored 1.67 goals per match in 12 Uefa Champions League matches while Liverpool have scored at least 1.83 goals in each of their last 12 matches in the competition.  

Liverpool have scored in each and every quarter of their 12 Uefa Champions League matches with the majority of goals (27.3%) coming between 75-90 minutes. Spurs on the other hand, have scored in each and every quarter of their matches except between 15-30 minutes.
