The 19-year-old was adjudged as the most promising player for the crucial role he played as his side reached the semi-finals before losing to Hearts of Oak.
“I'm very excited to win this award and it is because of the opponents I came up with," Abagna said.
"It also motivates me that, anytime I work hard on the pitch and I work harder as a player, it will be recognised. It’s really a great source of motivation for me to continue since I can win bigger awards in the future,” he added.
Abagna, who was linked to several European club's during the January transfer window, has been out of action since the start of the Ghana Premier League season following an ankle injury.
