Vincent Enyeama has undergone surgery on his knee and the OSC Lille goalkeeper indicated that the operation was a success.

The former Nigeria international ruptured his knee in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Rennes - and manager Franck Passi on Thursday disclosed that the 34-year-old will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing an arthroscopy of the knee.

He posted on his Twitter account: "God bless you all for your numerous goodwill messages and wishes. It was done and it was successfully done. Thanks to God.”

Enyeama has featured in 32 French topflight games this term, keeping eight clean slates and conceding 40 goals.

Lille are 11th on the French topflight log with 43 points and they host Metz in their next encounter on Sunday.
