Sutton United will face Arsenal in the fifth round of the FA Cup - with the draw prompting wild celebrations from supporters.

Arsenal to face Sutton in FA Cup fifth round

Paul Doswell’s side are the lowest ranked team left in the competition but were rewarded for their impressive cup run with a home tie against Arsene Wenger’s men.

This is the first time in their history that Sutton have reached the fifth round after they pulled off a huge shock by dumping Leeds United out of the competition.

Sutton were paired with Arsenal in Monday’s draw, with many supporters watching proceedings from Gander Green Lane and quick to voice their approval for the tie.

Man Utd make Griezmann top target

The minnows have already knocked out AFC Wimbledon, Cheltenham Town, Dartford and Forest Green on their way to a date with Arsenal, who will have to cope with the team’s synthetic 3G pitch.

The ground will prove a huge contrast to the Allianz Arena, where Arsenal will play just days before in the Champions League before heading to south London for their FA Cup clash.
