Ulinzi Stars pledges to rise from the ashes against Kakamega Homeboyz

Ulinzi Stars are upbeat that they will bring to an end their poor run of form when the Soldiers take on Kakamega Homeboyz in a Kenyan Premier League match.

Ulinzi are going into the Wednesday's match against the backdrop of back-to-back losses, against Sofapaka and Tusker.

While the result is enough to cause panic in the squad, Coach Dunstan Nyaudo said that he is looking up to turning things around, starting with a home game against Homeboyz.

“The most important thing is that we are eyeing a return to winning ways and everyone is focused on that,” Nyaudo told the club portal.

Ulinzi warmed up for Homeboyz test with a  friendly match against National Super League (NSL) side St. Josephs FC but Nyaudo should be concerned by the concession rate of his side that also allowed a goal from the lower tier side ina 1-1 draw.

“We have been trying a number of things as we look to get the team back to winning ways and I am seeing a lot of positivity. The two defeats are behind us and the boys are well focused.

In the first leg meeting with Homeboyz, Masita Masuta rose off the bench to score as Ulinzi Stars picked a late win at Bukhungu Stadium.

But Nyaudo may have to do without the striker in the match should he fail to recover from an injury in time.
