Ulinzi Stars coach Dunstan Nyaudo is impressed by the growth of his players as they work their ways up into the senior national team.

Midfielders Cliff Kasuti and Ibrahim Shambi and goalkeeper, Timothy Odhiambo were part of the national U23 team that featured in the just concluded Fifa international week.

The trio who also featured for the U20 each clocked 90 minutes in the first game as Kenya U23 won to help propel Kenya to a 2-1 win over the hosts.

Nyaudo sees this as a testament to the good growth they have had and he will be hoping they continue with the growth in the senior ranks.

“That really proved the quality we have in the team; nationally most players in the U20 do not break into the U23 team but if you look at these players, they have all been to the U20 team and are now graduating, which is a good thing for us. They all did well there and as a team, it is something to be proud of,” Nyaudo told the club website.

“It also shows the depth in our team because we have three players out but we can still raise a team and play,” he added.

The three are back in the country with the national team, but it remains unclear whether the coach will have them in the team to face Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday 31st March at Camp Toyoyo.
