AFC Leopards have made changes in the technical following the appointment of Tom Juma as the Football Operations Manager.
The new position was created after Ingwe scrapped the Team Manager’s post that was previously held by Gilbert Selebwa, who parted ways with the club early in the week. Selebwa terminated his engagement with the former Kenyan Premier League champions on ‘mutual consent’ to pursue his coaching career.
Juma was the assistant coach before he was elevated to the head of the technical bench on a temporary basis following the resignation of Rodolfo Zapata.
Juma's future was thrown into doubt following the arrival of Nicola Kavazovic with his assistant from Botswana’s Township Rollers.
He will be tasked with the responsibilities of managing all the operations of the home and away matches for the club besides overseeing the pre-and post-season tours.
Juma will also be responsible with ensuring that all AFC Leopards stakeholders comply with the club’s policies besides acting as an advisor to the National Executive Committee on all matter relating to football issues, according to a letter seen by Goal.com, signed by club Secretary General, Oscar Igaida.
"I would like to announce that we have scrapped the position of the Team Manager and created a position of Football Operations Manager." read part of the appointment letter.
