The sleepy town of Ipoh in Perak was lighted up for one night as fans gathered to get up close with former Manchester United player, Andrei Kanchelskis.
Signed by Sir Alex Ferguson for the Red Devils back in 1991, Kanchelskis was one of the standout performers in the title winning years of 1992/93 and 1993/94.
He went on to play for a few more great clubs in Everton, Fiorentina and Glasgow Rangers before calling time on his playing career.
Kanchelskis represented Russia in the European Championships in 1992 and 1996 but neither were successful tournaments for him and his country.
The Russian was in town as part of the collaboration with Skyhawk Apparels who sponsors the jerseys for PKNP FC.
Kanchelskis spent time watching PKNP's training as they prepare to face Selangor in Wednesday's Super League encounter.
The winger also took time to take pictures with a fans, who still remember his time at United fondly.
Meanwhile fans in Klang Valley will also get their chance to meet Kanchelskis before the match between Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan at KLFA Stadium tonight.
