Senegal’s Boukary Drame joins Serie A side SPAL

The 32-year-old who is yet to play a game this season has teamed up with Leonardo Semplici’s men until the end of the 2017-18 campaign

SPAL have announced the signing of Senegal international Boukary Drame from Atalanta.

Drame who joined Atalanta from Chievo as a free agent in June 2014, has not featured in the Italian top-flight this season and has moved to the Ferrara outfit in an effort to secure regular playing time.

The White-Blues disclosed that the former Sochaux defender has an option to extend his stay at the Stadio Paolo Mazza, after his current contract expires on June 30.

“SPAL 2013 announces that it has definitively acquired the sports performance of Boukary Dramé from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio,” read a statement on the club website.

“The French-Senegalese left side has signed a contract that will tie him to the Biancazzurra club until 30th June 2018, with an option for the following season.”

The Senegal international will provide defensive options for SPAL who sit in the 17th spot in the Serie A table with 15 points from 20 games.
