Tanzania international Mbwana Samatta has returned to KRC Genk squad after suffering a knee injury for two months.

Samatta played the Beker van Belgie (Belgian Cup) semifinal against KV Kortrijk on Tuesday and witnessing a defeat of 3-2.

The semifinal saw Samatta playing 75 minutes before Edon Zhegrovasubstituted him.

Schedules shows that the second leg will be played on February 6, 2018 at Liminus Arena.

It will be do or die for KRC Genk to make sure they qualify for the final.

Today’s second semifinal will see Standard Liege against Club Brugge as the second leg will be on February 8, 2018.

The Tanzanian international has been nursing injuries for six weeks after undergoing hamstring surgery after he sustained injury when his team played Lokeren in a goalless draw at Luminus Arena stadium.

After medical check-ups it was discovered that he had a knee muscle fracture hence had to undergo surgery.
