RUMOURS: Tianjin turn to Championship star as Costa alternative

As the likelihood of the Spain international leaving Chelsea dwindles, the CSL outfit have turned their attention to Leeds' United striker Chris Wood

Tianjin Quanjian will attempt to sign Leeds United star Chris Wood as they prepare to be rejected by Chelsea's Diego Costa, reports ESPN.

Costa has been a public transfer target of the ambitious Chinese Super League outfit but he appears set to rebuff a move to Asia in order to remain in the Premier League.

After already being turned down by the likes of Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani, Raul Jimenez and Karim Benzema, Tianjin will move for Woods next.

The 25-year-old has been leading Leeds' charge for Premier League promotion from the front this season, alerting Fabio Cannavaro's side to his quality.
