Perth Glory might be without a coach but the club have been linked with a move for Barnsley midfielder Adam Hammill.

The Sun reports that the 30-year-old, who began his career in Liverpool's youth academy, is happy to see out his expiring contract in the Championsip and pursue a possible move to the A-League.

Hammill played briefly in the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers between 2010 to 2012 and has become a regular at Barnsley appearing 37 times this season as the club fight off potential relegation.

According to the report, Perth are interested in the soon-to-be free agent despite the fact they are lacking a coach in the wake of Kenny Lowe's sacking.

Glory lost striker Adam Taggart earlier this week in controversial circumstances to Brisbane Roar, with the club claiming they weren't properly informed of his intentions.

Perth face Chelsea in a friendly on July 23 and will need to move quickly to get their side ready for what will be a crucial pre-season for the club after they finished this season in eighth.
