Opoku urges Asante Kotoko to sign Adjei

Daniel Nii Adjei- TP Mazembe
The midfielder wants the Porcupine Warriors to welcome back their former player ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup participation

Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku has advised the club's top hierarchy to resign former star Daniel Nii Adjei to help improve their midfield.
Adjei, 30, who left Kotoko in 2008 for T.P Mazembe, is currently a free agent after parting ways with Moroccan giants Wydad Club Casablanca in September.
With Kotoko preparing to participate in 2018-19 Caf Confederation Cup, Opoku believes his former teammate will improve the squad with his experience.
“Nii Adjei will be a good addition. He is a Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup winner. He is very experienced and has all that it takes to help the team,” Opoku told Oyerepa FM.
“He is like Asamoah Gyan and should be received with open arms when they decide to play for Kotoko.
“We have several young players around and his presence will motivate them to do more to improve their career. I believe that he has a lot to offer us ahead of the Caf Confederation Cup which we want to participate in,” he added
Adjei won one Ghana Premier League title with Kotoko during his stint with the club.
