Kakamega Homeboyz picked a point on the road after holding hosts Ulinzi Stars to a 1-1 draw

Elvis Rupia opened a five-goal lead in the race for KPL top scorers, but his lone striker was not enough to steer Nzoia Sugar past Kariobangi Sharks.

Sharks beat the Millers 2-1 to extend Nzoia’s winless run to three games. The Millers last picked maximum point against Sony Sugar on May 19 in a 2-0 victory at the Awendo Green Stadium.

George Abege hit an equalizer for Sharks, who were also gifted with a free goal after Brian Otieno scored in his own net to help the victors erase Rupia’s opening goal in the second half.

Meanwhile, Kakamega Homeboyz picked a point on the road after holding hosts Ulinzi Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Afraha Stadium.

In the other matches of the day, Gor Mahia beat Wazito 4-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table to 37 points.
