Hearts of Oak coach Frank Elliott Nuttall claims their opponents in the Ghana Premier League always engage them as if it was a cup final.

The Scottish manager, who joined the Phobians in February, was under intense pressure to deliver after picking only nine points from seven games.

However, he heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday after leading Hearts of Oak to defeat Asante Kotoko 1-0 in the Super Clash played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“I think at Hearts of Oak every game is a difficult game. This is because every team that comes and play against us takes it as a cup final,” Nuttall said.

“So, it’s a cup final and a national derby, off the back of derbies, it makes it very difficult. But that is part of the job and we will cope very well," he added.

Hearts will travel to Golden City Park on April 2, to face Berekum Chelsea and Nuttall is upbeat ahead of the game.

“After the derby, we have some few days to rest and then travel to Berekum to play Chelsea. That will be my first time to the city and also playing against them but I believe we will continue our winning ways. We don't have to impress and later disappoint,” he added.

Hearts are currently sitting sixth on the log with 12 points, five points behind joint leaders Aduana Stars and Kotoko.
