Harambee Stars will pitch camp in France if they qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa revealed that plans are afoot to see that the national team is well prepared should Kenya book their trip to the continental showpiece in 14 years.

Sebastien Migne will have a two-week camp in his native country en-route to Cameroon. But before that, Migne will have to pick at least a point from either Ghana or Sierra Leone in the remaining two games of the ongoing qualifiers, to seal a place into the finals.

“We have plans in place to have the team train in France for two weeks ahead of the 2019 Afcon in Cameroon,” Mwendwa said after Kenyan beat Ethiopia 3-0 on Sunday to consolidate their place at the summit with seven points.

Ethiopia are second with four points while Ghana and Sierra Leone are tied on three points. Stars will next take on Sierra Leone in Nairobi should Fifa lift the suspension on the West African nation.

Kenya will, however, book an early qualification to Cameroon, should Fifa hold on to their stand. Sierra Leone were banned from the qualifiers due to government interference.
