Luka Modric has received a special tribute from his Real Madrid team-mates as the squad posed for a photo to commemorate his 200 appearances for the club.
The 31-year-old reached the 200-match milestone in his fifth season at the Santiago Bernabeu, having joined from Tottenham for an estimated £30 million in August 2012.
200...razones llenas de honor y orgullo vistiendo esta camiseta. Sobre todo en los momentos cuando la exigencia es más alta. Hala Madrid por siempre! 200...reasons for the honor, privilege and pride. And most of all when the challenges and expectations are higher than ever! Hala Madrid forever 200...razloga za čast, privilegiju i ponos. I onda kada je teško! Hala Madrid zauvijek
A league title in Spain has proved elusive for Modric, however, with Madrid having last won the league title back in the 2011-12 campaign.
Zinedine Zidane's side will be confident of breaking that five-year duck this season however, with Madrid having a game in hand over their rivals with 12 matches in total left to play.
Speaking to the club's official website after being presented with his commemorative '200' shirt, Modric said: "I'm very happy and proud to be part of this great club.
"It means a lot to me. I hope I can play 200 more games, win lots of titles and give our fans a lot of joy.
"I believe that I've improved a lot as a player and a person, because being surrounded by great players on a daily basis helps your development out on the pitch.
"I'm pleased, and now I have to keep giving my all for Real Madrid."
