On Wednesday Melaka United announced three more mid-season signings, including a new foreign player.
They have signed 31-year old midfielder Lee Chang-hoon on a loan deal from K League 2 side Seongnam FC. The midfielder has never been capped for Korea Republic. The Mousedeers are yet to announce who will make way for Lee in their foreign player quota, but it will likely be his compatriot Jeon Woo-young, who is the only Asian player on the roster.
They have also signed free agent Veenod Subramaniam. The 30-year old midfielder had signed for Kelantan for the 2018 season, but he was axed by the Red Warriors part way through the season. At Melaka he will rejoin former Kelantan teammate goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, who had signed for the Mousedeers earlier in the mid-season transfer window.
They have also bolstered their roster with the loaning of former Malaysia U-23 star, Syahrul Azwari Ibrahim from Johor Darul Ta'zim II.
The Mousedeers are currently just one spot over the relegation zone, in tenth place in the Super League. This Friday they will play Kedah in Alor Star, their fourth match under new head coach Elavarasan Elangowan.
