The Tshwane giants have been linked the 26-year-old Jali for quite some time, but recent reports suggest that they have formally approached the player

Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly made a move to sign Bafana Bafana midfiedler Andile Jali

The KV Oostende player has been struggling for game time in Belgium, and he's believed to be considering his future at the club.

Reports emerged last week that Kaizer Chiefs were planning a bid for the former Orlando Pirates star ahead of next season

However, if these reports turn out to be true, Amakhosi will have to up their game with Sundowns now in the race.

It is believed that Jali wants to cement his place in the national team squad by playing regular football at club level - something that he hasn't been able to do in the past few months since returning from a long-term injury.

Darren Keet and Anele Ngcongca recently returned to the country from Belgium to join Bidvest Wits and Sundowns respectively, and have done relatively well in the PSL.

Jali left the country for Europe in January 2014, ending his five-year stay with the Buccaneers.

He has been hinting at possibly returning to the Sea Robbers in the past, but his former employers have not shown interest in bringing him back.
