Liverpool boss Klopp positive on Sadio Mane's return vs. AS Roma

After missing Liverpool's goalless stalemate against Stoke City, Jurgen Klopp is upbeat about Sadio Mane's return to his squad for their Champions League semi-final second leg against AS Roma on Wednesday.

Mane who sustained an injury this week was one of the five changes Klopp made to the side that thumped the Italian side 5-2 at Anfield in midweek.

However, in his absence, the Reds struggled to break down their stubborn visitors in Saturday's English Premier League early kick off.

Asked about the situation of the former Southampton man after the 0-0 draw with the Potters, the German tactician said: “Sadio did not play but he will be fine for Wednesday."

The Senegal international will be eyeing his 41st appearance this season when the Reds make the trip to Italy.

The 18-goal forward will also be keen on reuniting with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah to do more damage to the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico as the Reds look to seal their spot in the final of the Champions League.
