Gor Mahia defender Godfrey Walusimbi has committed to the club beyond next season.

The Ugandan has penned a two year contract extension hours after the league champions confirmed the signing of three players – Humphrey Mieno, Charles Momanyi and Wesley Onguso.

Mieno has signed for K’Ogalo after being dropped by Tusker while Momanyi and Onguso have joined from Kakamega Homeboyz and Sofapaka respectively.

Gor Mahia CEO Omondi Aduda has confirmed that Walusimbi will now be at the club until 2019. “Walusimbi has penned a two year contract extension and that is good news for the club. We have been in talks and he has agreed to stay and play for us.”

On signing Momanyi and Onguso, Aduda said, “We have signed Onguso and Momanyi from Sofapaka and Homeboyz respectively. We want to compete effectively in continental football next season hence the reason to beef up our squad.”

Gor Mahia won the Kenyan Premier League last season and will represent the country in Caf Champions League.
