Kerala Blasters youngsters Prasanth Karuthadathkuni and Loken Meitei are set to undergo a training stint in Finland, as announced by the club.
Prasanth and Loken have already reached Finland and will train under the coaches at Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, a top division club in Finland. The stint will be of a month's duration and the duo will return on July 1, 2018.
Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho is the current runners-up in the top division league of Finland, previously winning it in 2016. They have been a regular presence in UEFA Europa League for the past 3 years.
The 20-year-old Prasanth was signed on a long-term contract by Kerala Blasters and made 10 appearances for the Kochi-based club in the Indian Super League (ISL) last season. The promising winger from Kozhikode has also been a part of the U19 national team camp.
The 21-year-old Meitei, who was drafted in at the Player Draft, made six appearances for the Men in Yellow in the ISL.
Commenting on this development, Head Coach, David James said “It is great to be able to arrange our two players, Prasanth and Loken, to get some football experience in Finland with SJK. We have many friends around the world and we intend to galvanise these relationships like that with SJK, to help improve our players whilst showing some of our talents to wider audiences.”
